Manhattan Invite

Manhattan Invitational:

The St. Joe's cross country team invaded The Bronx this past weekend. We camped out on the gym floor of St. Raymond's school in The Bronx. Friday afternoon we had a great run over the course, across the meadow and up the cowpath's followed by a nice pasta dinner. Saturday day morning turned into another great day, we set up our tent and got ready to run. We had teams in four different races, three JV and one Varsity race. The day started off with Mike Rizzo brining home the first medal. St. Joe's took home a total of 9 medals (5 for JV and 4 in the Varsity) out of 25 total runners. Varsity finished 6th overall in their race.

Fall

Fall is by far my favorite season. I'm not sure what it is, cross- country season, the cool nights, the smell of the leaves... or maybe the start of the school year. Nah, probably not that part!
Here are a few pics from my trip to Woodstock VT last October. If you like covered bridges this is the place to go!

Jerome

One of the days we drove up a mountain to the old copper mining town of Jerome. Jerome is now a sort of artist colony. I found the urban decay very interesting, many remants of the town's mining past.

I really found the old doors and windows very cool...
